Cristiano Ronaldo was substituted in the 28th minute of Portugal’s Euro 2020 qualifier with Serbia on Monday night with a thigh injury.

The legendary Portuguese forward now has a plan in place to be fit for Juventus’s Champions League quarter-final first leg clash against Ajax on 10 April.

“I’m not worried,” Ronaldo said after the game in Lisbon. “I know my body and I know I will be fit within the next two weeks.”

Meanwhile his club, Juve, offered an update on the situation, and confirmed the problem wasn’t major.

“Ronaldo was subject of test in Portugal that showed a minor injury in the right thigh,” declared Juventus’s medical report.

The 34-year-old has travelled to the Corachan Clinic in Barcelona and gone under more tests in order to get the best treatment.

Several players from Roma as well as Celta’s Iago Aspas have been to the same clinic for similar reasons.

This is the first muscle injury Ronaldo has suffered since the 2015/16 season and he is absolutely sure he will return in time to face Ajax.
