Life in occupied Kashmir remained at stand, as the Indian military siege continued for the 47th consecutive day, today.

Thousands of Indian troops remain deployed in every nook and corner, creating an atmosphere of fear for over a month now.

All markets, business establishments and shops are closed while transport is off the road. Educational institutions are deserted.

On the other hand, the UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, plans to raise the Kashmir dispute during his discussions with various leaders attending the 74th session of the UN General Assembly, his spokesman said.

Meanwhile, a US court has asked Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and other members of his government to respond within 21 days to the charge that they have illegally occupied the territory.
