In occupied Kashmir, an Indian soldier has committed suicide in Kupwara district.
The soldier identified as Ranjeet Singh ended his life by shooting himself with his service rifle at an army camp in Cherkote of the district while he was on duty.
This incident of suicide raised the number of such deaths among the Indian troops and police personnel in the territory to 404 since January 2007.
