Indian police arrest Asiya Andrabi in Srinagar

SRINAGAR: Indian police on Tuesday arrested senior Kashmiri leader Syeda Asiya Andrabi from Krale Khud area of Srinagar in Indian Occupied Kashmir, local media reported.

According to reports, the Dukhtaran-e-Millat chief was arrested along with her close associate, Fehmeeda Sofi. She was shifted to unknown location by the Indian police.

According to the Kashmir Media Service, Asiya Andrabi was actively organising women-led protests in the occupied Kashmir valley.

Asiya Andrabi is a Kashmiri leader known for her pro-independence activism. Indian police has previously arrested her several times for hoisting the Pakistani flag and singing the country’s national anthem.
