Indian Army ban Eid prayers in occupied Kashmir

SRINAGAR: Occupied Kashmir administration has bans Eid prayers at Jama Masjid Srinagar.

Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas termed the ban on Eid prayers in Srinagar as a violation of basic human and religious rights and demanded that the United Nations and human rights bodies take notice of religious and political restrictions in occupied Kashmir. ۔

Sardar Tanveer Ilyas announced that the issue of ban on Eid gatherings in occupied Kashmir would be raised at the international level.

Earlier,  India has banned hijab in schools in Occupied Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, female students and teachers were banned from wearing hijab in a school in Baramulla district, a notification has also been issued.

Strongly condemning the Modi administration’s decision, former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti said the BJP should realize that this is not a state in India where there is no freedom to dress as it pleases and where minority houses have been bulldozed.

Mufti further said that girls of Occupied Kashmir would not tolerate ban on hijab.

Hijab of Muslim female students has been banned in the Indian state of Karnataka. They were ordered to take off but the female students refused and the administration sent the girls back home.

Alia Asadi, a student who had earlier filed a petition against the ban on hijab in Odupi, Karnataka, was also barred from taking the exam along with her classmate.

In Karnataka, the BJP-led Hindutva government has banned hijab in classrooms and announced that students and teachers in hijab will not be allowed to enter examination centers.
