Sindh govt to ensure transparent probe into harassment incidents on campuses: Saeed Ghani

KARACHI: Sindh Labour and Human Resources Minister Saeed Ghani has said that Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan is still the blue-eyed boy of the media, judiciary, and many other people in the country.

While talking to media persons here at the City Court on Saturday, the Sindh Labour Minister said that political activities shouldn’t have the element of violence.

Ghani said that Imran Khan should have been arrested right at the moment when the Supreme Court had declared that the PIT Chairman had dissolved the National Assembly in the negation of the Constitution.

He said that the killing of a worker of the PTI in Lahore was a tragic incident and an impartial probe should be conducted into the issue in order to take due punitive action against the people responsible for the death of a political activist.

Answering a question about the cases being heard at the City Court, Ghani said that he had lodged cases against the Leader of Opposition in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh for levelling false and baseless allegations against him.

He said it seemed to him that the lawyers of the Opposition Leader didn’t have valid grounds to contest the case. The Sindh Labour Minister said that he didn’t have any issue if delaying tactics were being used by the defence lawyers in the case as he was ready to appear in the courts if the cases lingered on even for 10 years.

Ghani told media persons that he had clearly stated that he was ready to apologise if his opponent proved his allegations against him as otherwise, the Opposition Leader should apologize for levelling baseless allegations against him.
