‘Imran Khan will remain PM for another 15 days’

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday reiterated that the cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy is a strong bilateral relationship with China.

Chairing a high-level meeting, the premier discussed his upcoming visit to China, during which matters related to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will also be discussed.

The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Finance Minister Asad Umer, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, Planning & Development Minister Khusro Bakhtiar and Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed.

Last month in a meeting with Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, PM Imran thanked the envoy for the good wishes of Chinese leadership.

YI had conveyed the desire of the Chinese leadership to work with the new government for further enhancing the strategic partnership between Pakistan and China.
