Imran Khan directs KPK govt to withdraw Ehtesab Commission Amendment Order

ISLAMABAD:  Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has directed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government to immediately withdraw Ehtesab Commission Amendment Order which limited the powers of provincial Ehtesab Commission.

In a statement on social site Twitter, the PTI chief said that drafting of the amendment bill will be expedited to restore the original powers of Ehtesab Commission.

PTI will never compromise on its core commitment of accountability, he further added.

He explained that a comprehensive amendment bill which will ensure and strengthen effective and independent accountability will now be tabled before KPK Assembly.

Hamid Khan said that PTI led KPK government was taking a U-turn over its anti-corruption policy. He had also shared his reservations in a letter to PTI chairman Imran Khan.
