Ideological movements not affected by any temporary defeat: Hafiz Naeem

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has said that the ideological movements are not being finished by any temporary defeat while new venues and opportunities are being created to overcome the lacunas.

He expressed these views while addressing an ‘Ijtema-e-Karkunaan’ held at Idara-e-Noor Haq on Tuesday.

Addressing the gathering, Hafiz Naeem said that the Jamaat-e-Islami will continue its struggle in imposition of Islamic rules in country and particularly in Karachi.

He said that the Jamaat-e-Islami was a movement which playing its role to safeguard the Islamic laws, adding that the JI was fully participated in the by-polls on NA-246 and Cantonment elections.

Hafiz Naeem further said that the Jamaat-e-Islami has begged three seats in Cantonment polls through effective election campaign run by its workers, adding that the workers are continue their efforts to contact with the people at grass root level.

He further said that massive responsibility is being fixed on the victorious JI candidate in order to serve the masses in their respective areas.

Hafiz Naeem said that the Chief Election Commissioner Fakruddin G Ibrahim in the general election 2013 had confessed that the Election Commission of Pakistan has failed to hold transparent elections in Karachi.

Speaking on the occasion, Hafiz Naeem said that local bodies elections was a main objective of Jamaat-e-Islami and the party leadership has decided to take part in every elections with full force.

“If any party secures even 1million votes and claims the politics of terrorism, bunny bag bodies and extortion, so those 1million votes do not allow it to carry on its terrorism activities in the garb of politics”, he added.

Hafiz Naeem further said that fake voters and forged CNICs are still existed in the voters’ list despite the clear directives of Supreme Court that those lists should be rectified.

He said that the Jamaat-e-Islami has reiterated its demand to install biometric system in all elections to ensure transparency, adding that real mandate can change the fortune of the people.

Hafiz Naeem further said that the Jamaat-e-Islami is ready to accept all challenges and striving hard to unveil the lacunas in electoral system of the country.

He confirmed that the Jamaat-e-Islami will come forward as a strong force in next general elections, as its leadership has proper contacts in the masses.

On the occasion, Hafiz Naeem lauded the efforts of party workers in their working during by-polls on NA-246.

Later, Engr Sabir Ahmed briefed the participants about the electioneering campaign by the party workers in Cantonment Board elections.
