I am unaware of letter shown by PM in rally: Sheikh Rasheed

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed has expressed ignorance of the letter shown by Prime Minister Imran Khan during yesterday’s Parade Ground rally.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Monday, Sheikh Rasheed said that JUI-F is not allowed to hold today’s meeting and sit-in as their NOC has expired. PML-N is allowed to hold today’s meeting, he added.

He said that Imran Khan is laying the foundation of an independent foreign policy and we stand with Imran Khan like a rock, whether Imran Khan is in power or not, we stand with him.

The interior minister said that if the resolution was tabled today, voting would take place.

He further said that he did not see any government completing its tenure. I think from the evening of 29th to the evening of 31st the matter will be decided, he added.

Sheikh Rasheed said that conspiracies are often international but I do not know the letter which was mentioned by the prime minister.

He said that the establishment is only with Pakistan. I have been asking Imran Khan from day one to hold elections after Hajj and dissolve the Punjab Assembly. I wanted emergency in the country and governor rule in Sindh because people are selling, he added.

Earlier on Saturday, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed had said that the no-confidence motion would be voted on April 3 or 4.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Sheikh Rasheed said that the accused MNA Jam Abdul Karim, nominated in the Nazim Jokhio case, is being brought from Dubai for a vote of no confidence.

He said that according to law he should have taken bail from the court. We will arrest him from the airport, DG FIA has been asked to arrest Jam Abdul Karim. IG of Sindh Police has also been directed.

The interior minister said that everyone is allowed to hold a meeting in Islamabad but everyone should open their ears and hear that no one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands.
