Hamza Akbar wins Asian Snooker Championship for Pakistan

KUALA LUMPUR: Pakistani player Hamza Akbar has won the Asian Snooker Championship here on Thursday.

Hamza defeated Indian cueist Punkaj Advaani in the 31st Asain Snooker Championship.

He defeated Punkaj Advani by 7-6 in final round of the tournament. Pakistan has won the title for the second time in history. Muhammad Yousaf had won the Asian Snooker Championship in 1998.

Former title holder Muhammad Yousaf congratulated Hamza Akbar and nation for possessing the international title once again followed by exhibition of outstanding performance and hard work.
