Hafiz Naeem expresses concern over HBFC issues

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman expressed deep concern over the affairs of House Building and Finance Corporation (HBFC) and demanded of the concerned authorities to put the house in order.

A delegation of the employees’ joint action committee briefed the JI leader on Wednesday at JI Headquarters Idara Noor-e-Haq.

Engr. Naeem was informed that an acute unrest was prevailing among employees due to unjust policies of those at the helm of affairs in the corporation.

The representatives of the employees informed the JI leader that a significant section of the employees have been deprived of their due salaries.

 The employees were also facing undue pressure and threats. The situation has become grim to such an extent that several employees have approached judiciary for solution of their issues.

On the other hand, the top management has been recruiting on extra ordinary higher salaries and incentives, defy all rules and regulations, the delegation said.

Engr. Naeem was also informed that extreme favoritism and discrimination were being employed when it came to departmental promotion.

JI Karachi chief demanded of the government to take notice of the situations at the corporation and said that the dismal situation needs to be addressed. He also warned the government of agitation, if the due measures were not taken.

Meanwhile, on the direction of Engr. Naeem, JI Karachi Deputy Secretary General Saifuddin Advocate wrote a letter to the HBFC Managing Director Pervez Saeed, demanding him to resolve the issues immediately.
