ISLAMABAD: The government has nominated Sadiq Sanjrani as its candidate for the post of Senate chairman.
The Senate session has been convened on March 12.
Chairman and deputy chairman of the Senate will be elected during the coming session.
In addition, the newly-elected members of the upper house will also take oath.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the nation on radio and television today at 7:30 pm.
The prime minister will share his point of view with the nation on the open ballot system.
