PTI’s PM has been defeated today: Shehbaz

ISLAMABAD: PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday said that the PTI-led government had rendered five million people jobless in three years.

The opposition leader in the National Assembly said that the unemployment rate was at all-time high at 15 per cent and the total number of jobless people has reached 8.5 million.

Both the government and the IMF budget has already been rejected by the masses, he added.

He said when the PML-N government came out of power the total volume of the country’s economy was $313 billion, which has now shrunk to $296 under the PTI-led government.

The purchasing power of Pakistanis has directly reduced by 13 per cent. During the previous regime of PML-N in 2017-18, the per capita income was $1,560, Shehbaz said.
