Petrol price likely to be reduced by Rs10 per litre today

Islamabad: The government on Thursday announced Rs15 reduction in the petrol prices while Rs27. 1 in the high speed diesel for May. 

The new prices will be effective from midnight.

The relief has been passed on the consumers after a sharp reduction in the price of crude oil in the international market.

The new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs81. 5 after a reduction of Rs15 while the high speed diesel at Rs80. 1 after a cut of Rs27. 1 per litre.

The new prices of kerosene oil and light diesel will be Rs47.4 and Rs47.5 respectively, according to an official notification.

Earlier, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) had on Wednesday recommended to cut petroleum prices by up to Rs44 per litre for May.
