Islamabad:Government alliance’s Mirza Muhammad Afridi defeated Maulana Abdul Ghafoor in Senate election and elected for deputy chairmen senate.
After Sadiq Sanjrani elected as chairmen in senate,the deputy chairmen senate was elected in which Maulana Abdul Ghafoor was against to Mirza Muhammad Afridi.
98 senators cast their votes in the deputy chairmen senate elections.
Chairmen senate announced the result that Mirza Muhammad Afridi were elected as deputy chairmen with 54 votes while in against the opposition alliance Maulana Abdul Ghafoor got 44 votes.
No vote rejected in deputy chairmen election, However the government candidate got 10 votes more than the opposition candidates .
