Good News! Red Line BRT project's foundation stone to be laid down next month in Karachi

KARACHI: Public transport issue of the people of Karachi is seemed to be over soon as Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has announced to lay foundation stone of Red Line Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) project next month.

Chairing a board of directors’ meeting of Trans Karachi on Tuesday, the chief minister said that he wanted to lay foundation of the Red Line BRT project in March.

Giving a briefing to Murad Ali Shah, it was informed that the bus route will connect Malir Halt to Tower as it would connect Malir Cantt, Safoora, University Road and Numaish.

The CM also informed that a biogas plant would be installed in Bhens Colony on 31 acres. The plant will be used for meeting fuel needs of the bus service.

He was also informed that the project is carried out with the assistance of World Bank.
