ISLAMABAD: A district court has granted bail to former Senate chairman Nayyar Bukhari and his son Jarrar Bukhari in a case registered against the two after they allegedly thrashed policeman outside a court in Islamabad.

As per details, Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader and his son were granted bail after directions from the court to submit bail bonds worth Rs20,000.

A local court on Thursday had issued arrest warrants for former chairman Senate and his son, a day after the pair thrashed a policeman at gates of the District Courts in the capital’s F-8 area.

Bukhari had reportedly misbehaved with a constable of the Islamabad Special Branch and his private security guard thrashed him on Wednesday after he attempted to search him before entering a court in the federal capital’s F/8 sector.
