ISLAMABAD: Spokesman Pakistan International Airline (PIA) Danyal Gilani said on Thursday all the flights had been rescheduled in Islamabad for re-carpeting of runway.

Local and international flights of PIA and private airlines have been rescheduled at Benazir Bhutto International Airport because of the regular maintenance, the spokesperson apprised Jasarat Website.

He said Islamabad airport would remain closed for re-carpeting of runway between 01:00pm and 06:00 pm every day from Oct 18 to 28.

Because of this PIA had to reschedule all the flights taking off or landing at Islamabad airport, he told Jasarat Website.

‘Passengers are being informed through SMS and telephone calls about rescheduled timetable. Passengers are also requested to confirm their flights from PIA Call Center at UAN 111 786 786 to avoid any inconvenience,’ he said.

Spokesman Civil Aviation Authority Pervez George said a NoTAM (Notice To Airmen) had been issued fortnight before the repairing work started, so the private airlines would have informed their passengers.
