DI KHAN: At least five people died and six others injured in a head on collision between a speedy oil tanker and a passenger pickup here Wednesday.
Police said that the accident took place near Chowk Waziristan locality of Dera Ismail Khan, where the driver of oil tanker rammed passenger pickup after losing control due to over speeding. The tanker drive escaped from the scene soon after the accident.
The police said that five passengers died on the spot while six others received serious injuries in the accident. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital and the dead bodies were also shifted to DHQ.
Police impounded both vehicles and after registering a case started search for the driver of oil tanker.
