Fawad says no progress in foreign funding case in ECP

After Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan directed lawmakers to “start preparing for elections”, party leader Fawad Chaudhry revealed on Sunday that the party would first go for polls in Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).

Former prime minister Imran Khan had earlier asked his provincial legislators in K-P to start preparing for elections, saying, “we would dissolve the assemblies in K-P and Punjab this month.”

While addressing K-P lawmakers through a video link from his Zaman Park residence in Lahore on Saturday, the ousted premier lamented that the coalition government rejected his offer for talks.

Earlier, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry likened the Pindi Test match pitch to the current political situation.

In a statement on Twitter on Saturday, Fawad Chaudhry said that the Rawalpindi Test wicket is more dead, lifeless and worthless than the PDM government.

He said that the curators also did not think at all about what the people will think like the current setup makers. Hopefully, the pitch makers will make such a pitch in the next match that the decision will be based on merit.

Earlier, in a statement on Twitter, Fawad Chaudhry said that the Supreme Court should work on its basic work, its work is the protection of fundamental rights. The performance of the courts on fundamental rights is shameful.

Only people of Pak can change political systems, SC must do their primary job and that is safeguarding fundamental rights of people of Pak, performance of Courts in this this area is abysmal let’s not give us Bhashan on political systems.
