Famous Urdu novelist Abdullah Hussain passes away

LAHORE: Urdu’s renowned novelist Abdullah Hussain died of blood cancer in Lahore on Saturday (today),He was 84.

Hussain’s famous novel ‘Udas Naslain’ is considered as one of the greatest novels in Urdu literature.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has expressed grief and sorrow over the death of Urdu writer and novelist Abdullah Hussain.

In his message to the bereaved family, the prime minister extended his heartfelt condolences.

He lauded the services rendered by the great novelist for the promotion of national language and towards enrichment of Urdu literature. He regarded Abdullah Hussain’s death as a loss to the nation especially the literary circles.

The Prime Minister prayed that Allah Almighty may rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant patience to the aggrieved family to bear this loss.
