Ex-cricketer Muhammad Waseem to replace Misbah as new chief selector

LAHORE: Former cricketer Muhammad Waseem will replace Misbah-ul-Haq as the new chief selector of Pakistan cricket team.

According to sources, Muhammad Waseem is being given the responsibility in place of Misbah-ul-Haq while former wicketkeeper Saleem Yousuf has been decided to be made chairman of the cricket committee.

The sources said that Waseem Khan has reached Birmingham after settling matters with Muhammad Waseem and Saleem Yousuf as Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ehsan Mani is in the UK on annual leave.

Approval for the appointment of new Chief Selector and Chairman Cricket Committee will be sought on the video link.
