KABUL: Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said that every journalist entering the war zone should inform the group.
Talking to Indian media after the death of journalist Danish Siddiqui in Afghanistan, the Taliban spokesman said, “We do not know who shot dead Danish Siddiqui. We are sorry for the death of a foreign news agency journalist.” ۔
Zabihullah Mujahid said that it was unfortunate that journalists were entering the war zone without giving any notice.
Earlier on Friday, Reuters journalist Danish Siddiqui died while performing his journalistic duties.
According to the news agency, journalist Danish Siddiqui was killed in a clash between Afghan forces and Taliban in Spin Boldak district of Kandahar province.
