EU condemns as Pakistan mourns the loss of Khanzada

Three day official mourning period is being observed in Punjab from today (Monday, 17 August) over the martyrdom of Home Minister Retired Col. Shuja Khanzada.

Similarly, one day mourning is also being observed in Balochistan and Azad Kashmir.

FUNERAL OF SHUJA KHANZADA

The Punjab Home Minister Shuja Khanzada and DSP Shaukat Ali Shah have been laid to rest in Attock.
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak, and other high officials attended the funeral ceremony.

Meanwhile, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Deputy Speaker National Assembly Murtaza Javed Abbasi have condoled the death of Punjab Home Minister Shujah Khanzada.
In their separate condolences messages they paid rich tribute the services of the Shujah Khanzada for the country. They termed his death a great loss for the whole country and prayed for the departed souls and sympathized with the bereaved families.

EU-CONDEMNS

The European Union has assured continued support to Pakistan’s efforts to fight terrorism.
This was stated by President of the EU in a condolence message on the martyrdom of Punjab Home Minister, Shuja Khanzada in a terrorist attack.
The EU President also expressed condolences and sympathies with the bereaved families of those killed in the attack
