MUZAFFARABAD: A meeting of Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly was convened on April 18 at 10:30 am.
The meeting will elect a new Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir.
Prime Minister Abdul Qayyum Niazi had resigned after a no-confidence motion from his own party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
Earlier on Thursday, Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi has resigned from his post.
According to media reports, Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi has sent his resignation to PTI Chairman Imran Khan and President Azad Kashmir.
According to sources, Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi in a message addressed to Imran Khan said that he had given the prime minister-ship to him and he was returning today.
Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid had an important meeting with Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi earlier.
Sources said that Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid had conveyed a very important message from the central leadership to the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir.
It may be recalled that a no-confidence motion was filed by PTI against its own Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi a day earlier.

According to sources, on this occasion, Imran Khan had expressed confidence in Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi and he was prevented from resigning but now it has been reported that he has resigned from his post.
