Eight killed in India’s Karnataka state blast

A blast in the Indian state of Karnataka has killed eight people and injured two others.

The blast took place shortly after noon in front of a truck loaded with explosives.

According to Indian media, a vehicle full of dynamite exploded in Shiv Moga area of Karnataka state. The blast occured shortly after 10:15 a.m local time.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed regret over the blast and directed the local administration to take all possible steps.
