Drap approves medicines to treat Covid-19

Islamabad: The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (Drap) on Wednesday approved various medicines for the treatment of coronavirus.

The Drap authorities said that the treatment of coronavirus with the convalescent plasma had been approved.

They added that the approval had been accorded on the basis of the research of Dow University and Agha Khan University.

They said that approval had also been given to three government hospitals in Lahore to treat coronavirus patients with the hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine.

The total number of coronavirus patients in Pakistan has reached over 14,000 while 327 had died from the pandemic.

Globally over 200, 000 people have so far died from the deadly disease.
