ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar on Wednesday said that doors for negotiations were opened for Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari who tabled four demands before the federal government.

Ishaq Dar told local media that not a single demand was tabled which could not be fulfilled by the federal government. He said the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) led government could satisfy PPP on rest of the demands.

He was addressing press conference after chairing meeting of electoral reformations committee on Wednesday.

Ishaq Dar said the government has met two out of four demands tabled by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He said the demand of probe into leaked Panama Papers has been fulfilled as the case is under trial in the Supreme Court (SC), Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), as well as in the parliament.

While citing second demand targeting China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project, Dar said the government is willing to complete western rout of the mega economic project.

He said the government could consider formation of a parliamentary committee on national security.

Commenting over a demand of appointing a foreign minister, Ishaq Dar said Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz possessed full authorities like foreign minister. He questioned PPP to clarify its demand whether to make Aziz as foreign minister or to remove him from his post.

It should be mentioned here that PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had tabled four demands before the PML-N government including approval of Panama Bill recommended by PPP, implementation of Asif Ali Zardari’s resolution on CPEC, formation of a parliamentary committee on national security, appointment of foreign minister.

The PPP chairman had also threatened the federal government to take to the streets after revelation of its future strategy after December 27.
