Do not panic, miscreants will be arrested, DG Rangers asks Karachiites

Karachi: Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, Director General Maj Gen Umar Bukhari has asked the citizens of Karachi not to panic, adding that the miscreants would be taken to the task.

The DG Rangers was speaking to the media during his visit to the site of blast near Maskan Chowrangi here on Wednesday.

He said that investigation was being conducted into the yesterday’s and today’s blast incidents. Citizens of Karachi do not need to panic. Miscreants will not be allowed to be successful in their nefarious designs. We do not need to get worried. We will face the enemy with courage, he added.

Earlier in the morning, at least five people were killed and over 20 others injured in a blast occurred in Gulshan Iqbal area.

The explosion took place in a building near Maskan Chowrangi. As a result at least five people were killed and over 20 others injured. Several vehicles were also damaged in the blast.

The explosion occurred on the mezzanine flour of the building located in Block 7 of Gulshan e Iqbal, rescue sources said.
