Dangerous fire turns dozens cloth shops into ash in Sargodha

SARGODHA: Dangerous fire erupted inside main cloth market in Sargodha which turned more than 50 shops into ash so far while rescue officials were failed to control the huge fire as yet.

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the dangerous fire and directed district administration to increase pace of rescue operation.

Local sources said that the fire erupted inside cloth market situated in Block-II area of Sargodha which trapped more than 50 shops and created huge financial dent worth billions.

Rescue sources said that fire brigades of whole city was called up on the location adding that four fire fighting vehicle of Pakistan Army were also taking part in the rescue oiperation.

Residents of the nearby sites were ordered to leave their homes as intensity of the fire is continuously increasing time by time while shopkeepers of nearby markets also started vacating their shops due to the uncontrolled fire.

District administration due to fear of spreading disasters shut electricity and gas supplies to the affected area. Administration sources said that more than 80 carts inside the market were ashed by the fire.
