Curfew restrictions: Kashmiri students forced to pay fine for late fee payment

Dehradun, India: Over 300 Kashmiri students studying at various colleges in Dehradun, Uttarakhand are being forced to pay a fine for late fee payment caused by military curfew imposed by India in the occupied Kashmir.

They are also not being allowed to appear in the annual examinations as a result of their low attendance courtesy the same curfew imposition in the valley since Aug 5.

These Kashmiri students are at risk of losing their precious academic year.

The students explained their colleges that they could not submit the dues and attend regular classes as a result of restrictions placed by the Indian government in the valley. However, the management of the educational institutions are not convinced with their justifications and ordered to must pay the late fee fine (Ranging from Rs5000-12000).
