The local court of Islamabad rejected Sheikh Rasheed’s post-arrest bail application in the case related to the conspiracy to assassinate former President Asif Zardari.
Judicial Magistrate Umar Shabbir gave a safe verdict, the court in its decision rejected Sheikh Rasheed’s bail application.
The court has said in its decision that Sheikh Rasheed can file an application for signing the nomination papers in the by-elections of NA-60 and NA-62.
Sheikh Rasheed’s post-arrest bail application was heard by Judicial Magistrate Umar Shabbir in the District and Sessions Court Islamabad.
The judge asked Sheikh Rashid’s lawyer, according to you, Sheikh Rashid is not part of the conspiracy to kill Imran Khan? On this, the lawyer said that Sheikh Rasheed referred to Imran Khan’s statement and said that what he is saying is right, the case was registered two days before Sheikh Rasheed’s statement was aired.
The lawyer of Sheikh Rashid said that if the murder is done in front of the police, the case is not registered so quickly. Investigating regarding the matter, but the vomit was washed away, Imran Khan’s statement is based on reality, there is a murder conspiracy against Imran Khan, which is not being prosecuted, however, a case has been registered for the defamation of Asif Zardari.
Last week, Awami Muslim League chief and former interior minister Sheikh Rasheed was arrested by Pindi police from the motorway and transferred to Abpara police station in Islamabad.
Later, Sheikh Rasheed was transferred by the police from Abpara police station of Islamabad to Polyclinic Hospital for medical treatment.
Police officials claim that Sheikh Rasheed was intoxicated, expensive brand of liquor was recovered from Sheikh Rasheed’s possession.
According to the police, M4 rifle, Kalashnikov and automatic gun have also been recovered from the possession of Sheikh Rasheed.
The police say that a case has been registered against Sheikh Rasheed in Abpara police station.
According to the FIR, Sheikh Rasheed has alleged that Asif Zardari has hired terrorists to kill Imran Khan, the aim of which is to defame Asif Zardari.
According to sources, a case was registered against Sheikh Rasheed in Abpara police station on the request of PP Rawalpindi Division President Raja Inayatur Rehman.
