The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday expressed resentment over Inspector General of Sindh Police Ghulam Haider Jamali’s late appearance in the courtroom in a contempt of court case.

Additional IG GHulam Qadir Thebo, SSP Faisal Bashir Mehmon, and DIG Feroz Shah reached court in time.

During the case proceeding, Justice Muneeb Akhtar remarked that “you guys are senior officers, this attitude is not right.” No excuse will be heard for being late or absent in the next hearing, he added.

The SHC bench also directed the police officers not to come to court in their uniforms as they are accused in the case.

On the other hand, Justice KK Agha has distanced himself from the case, thus, a new bench will be formed to hear the case on February 17.
