Confident Pakistan all set to face World XI today in 2nd T20

LAHORE: Pakistan cricket team is all set to face all start World XI in the second T20 here at the Gaddafi Stadium today (Wednesday).

In a history-making event on Tuesday which sees the return of high-profile international cricket to the country after a wait of eight years, Pakistan comfortably beaten World XI by 20 runs thanks to superb batting display by Babar Azam.

The visitors showed some resistance but unable to cross the winning line.

In today’s contest, the stakes are even higher with World XI skipper Faf du Plessis will be aiming to level the three-match T20 series.

While, Sarfaraz and co would be eyeing to wrap up the series today in front of home crowd.

The historic series will be closely monitored by other cricket boards and Pakistan expects it will pave the way for the country to host Sri Lanka and West Indies later this year.

It is pertinent to mention here that, In March, calls for the return of international cricket picked up steam after the final of the domestic T20 Pakistan Super League, featuring high-profile foreign players such as World Cup winner Darren Sammy, was held in Lahore.
