Complete strike in held-Kashmir over attack on truckers

SRINAGAR: Complete shutdown is being observed across the occupied Kashmir today, against the murderous assault on Kashmiri truckers in Udhampur by the communal forces on Saturday, backed by the Indian government.

Strike call was given by Hurriyet leader Syed Ali Gilani, Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Muhammad Yasin Malik and the Kashmir Economic Alliance (KEA), an amalgamation of various trade bodies, over the failure of authorities in protecting Kashmiris.

Gilani said that the Udhampur terrorist attack by the RSS backed goons was an eye-opener for the pro-Indian leaders of the territory and was also a wakeup call for all the peace-loving people of the world. They stressed the need for standing up against the communal mentality of India-backed terrorists.

JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik while terming the attack as terrorism supported by the so-called rulers, said that this attack had once again proved that PDP-led regime was actually enemies of Kashmiri Muslims.

APHC Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, senior Hurriyet leader Shabbir Ahmad Shah, High Court Bar Association and other Hurriyet leaders and organizaitons have extend support to the strike call.

Meanwhile, Kashmir Traders and Manufacture Federation, which has also called for today’s strike staged a protest demonstration at Press Enclave in Srinagar to press puppet Chief Minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed to break the alliance with BJP. They raised anti-regime slogans. The protest was led by Muhammad Sadiq Baqal.
