RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Tuesday said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is beneficial for the entire region.
He was talking with the member Political Bureau of Central Committee of Communist Party of China Zhang Chunxian, who called on him at General Headquarter.
Bilateral issues of mutual interest, regional stability and other issues came under discussion in the meeting, said Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement.
Zhang lauded Pakistan’s efforts in combating terrorism and recognized the sacrifices made by its people in this campaign.
Reiterating commitment to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, he said that CPEC will be of mutual economic benefit to the people of China and Pakistan as well as the region.
