Chaudhry Aslam killed by Al Qaeda, says IG Sindh

KARACHI: Inspector General Sindh (IG) Ghulam Hyder Jamali has said that renowned police officer Chaudhry Aslam had been killed by Al Qaeda.

While briefing to senate standing committee on security situation of the province, he said that accused of Safoora massacre wanted to re-establish khilafat system.

He said the committee that the accused of Safoora Goth incident involved in 37 cases and added that a 25-member gang was involved in the incident.

Jamali added that 14 of the 25-member gang were identified and added their chief Abdul Aziz belonged to Hyderabad. IG Sindh said that he had been working for IS for last one year.
