Cases against Altaf Hussain legal, not political: Nisar

RAWALPINDI: Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said cases pursued by the government against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Altaf Hussain were legal, and not political.

While addressing a ceremony Darbar, Rawalpindi police lines, he said The government has no issue with MQM and no personal enmity with Altaf Hussain.

“The situation is worsened by his foul language, he said and added “We are preparing a legal reference to file in UK against provocative speeches of Altaf Hussain,”

Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that Pakistani media should highlight the good deed of police.

He said law enforcement agencies played vital role in maintaining peace in the country.

Police personnel sacrificed their lives for country but Pakistani media didn’t highlighted their sacrifices, Nisar said.

He said that Terrorists are the biggest threat to humanity and Islam denounces terrorism in every form.
