KARACHI: Voting is underway for the by-election in Karachi’s NA-258 on Monday.
A total of 11 candidates from various various political parties will be contesting the election. Polling began at 08:00 am and is expected to conclude at 05:00 pm without any interruption.
The seat fell vacant after PML-N member Abdul Hakeem Baloch quit the party and joined Pakistan Peoples Party.
Rangers have been deployed both inside and outside the polling stations during the by-elections. Mobile phones are also restricted from polling stations.
Out of 2287 polling stations, 60 have been declared highly sensitive, while 207 polling stations were regarded sensitive.
