ISLAMABAD: United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on Friday telephoned Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and asked him to use his good offices to find a solution of the prevailing tension between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
The UN General Secretary was of the view that the prime minister enjoys good relations with both the countries and can play a vital and pivotal role in this regard.
The Prime Minister briefed the Secretary General about his visits to Iran and Saudi Arabia.
