Balochistan Minister’s son kidnapped

QUETTA: Balochistan Local Government Minister Sardar Mustafa Tareen’s son Asad Khan Tareen went missing Friday in Pishin. Police fear that he might have been abducted. A search operation for Tareen’s son has been launched by police and security forces.

According to the details, police found Asad’s car near the Cadet College. Police have also taken the mobile phone inside the car into their custody. Asad Khan Tareen was employed as mess caretaker at Cadet College Pishin  and was last seen on Friday when left work in his car. He has been missing ever since, deputy commissioner Pishin said.

His car was found from Sarkhab Road, Pishin.

A large crowd gathered outside the Minister’s house  upon learning of the incident.

Balochistan Inspector General Police Ahsan Mehboob said two teams have been set up under Regional Police Officer (RPO) Quetta and DIG Crimes to ascertain the whereabouts of the minister’s son.

 “Some suspects have been taken into custody during raids in Quetta, Qilla Abdull and Pasheen,” the IG has been quoted as saying.
