Babar Awan calls on Zardari in London, discusses Panama leaks issue

LONDON: Co-chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and former President, Asif Ali Zardari has stressed over the need of probe into Panama Leaks and said that Terms of Reference (ToRs) chalked out by the opposition are in accordance with law and constitution.

Asif Zardari was talking to PPP Senator, Dr. Babar Awan who called on him in London on Sunday and discussed with him key issues including political situation created after Panama Leaks revelation, protests of opposition, consultation over the issue and future strategy in this regard.

The PPP co-chairman said that keeping in view the importance of Panama Leaks, his party was highlighting the issue in Parliament and other forums to expose the realities before the nation.

Speaking on the occasion, Babar Awan said that with accountability and democracy, the country could not develop and progress.

“Fair and uninterrupted accountability has become need of the hour to security future of country and masses,” he added.
