ISLAMABAD: Hurriyet leaders terming the New Delhi’s attempts aimed at changing the Jammu and Kashmir’s demography as unacceptable have said that Internationally-accepted Kashmir dispute has to be resolved as per the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiri people.

According to KMS, several delegations of Hurriyet leaders visited many areas of South, North and Central Kashmir.

Addressing people on the occasion, they vowed to oppose the move to change the disputed nature of the territory, tooth and nail.

One such delegation led by Mukhtar Ahmad Waza visited Hogam and Dachnipora in South Kashmir. Another delegation led by Muhammad Musaddiq Aadil visited Safapora and Zaingeer areas in North Kashmir while yet another delegation led by Engineer Hilal

Ahmad War visited Srinagar and other areas of central Kashmir. They paid glowing tributes to the youth martyred in the firing by Indian forces during the ongoing resistance movement.

A statement issued by the Mirwaiz-led forum said that the Hurriyet leaders had said that the sacrifices of the martyrs had once again brought the Kashmir dispute to international focus.

“The Hurriyet is duty bound to safeguard these sacrifices and promise-bound to work towards the resolution of the vexed Kashmir issue in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiris by peacefully carrying forward the ongoing peaceful resistance struggle,” the statement added.

Meanwhile, the forum condemned the continued detention of Hurriyet leader Ghulam Nabi Zaki despite the court ordered his release.
