Lahore: The Anti-Terrorism Court approved Imran Khan’s interim bail in three cases.

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan reached the Anti-Terrorism Court seeking bail in three cases.

Three cases have been registered against Imran Khan in the police station race course, including the death of PTI activist Zal Shah, arson and encroachment in the government, which has anti-terrorism and aiding and abetting provisions.

Imran Khan was granted protective bail by the High Court in these cases and he was asked to approach the concerned court.

Imran Khan reached the Anti-Terrorism Court of Lahore for interim bail where it is stated in the petition filed by him that he wants to be involved in the investigation but there is a fear of arrest by the police.

The Anti-Terrorism Court granted interim bail till April 4 in all three cases of Imran Khan.

Last month, anti-terrorism court had rejected bail plea of PTI Chairman Imran Khan in the case pertaining to protest at the ECP case.

Earlier today, the ATC and the banking court had ordered Imran Khan to appear today before the courts in the two cases – protest outside the Election Commission of Pakistan and the prohibited funding case.

The Banking Court of Islamabad heard the prohibited funding case in which Imran Khan’s lawyer Barrister Salman Safdar argued that Imran Khan is a man of over 70 years of age and is super fit due to exercise. No young person can do it. If shot, it takes 3 months for recovery, Imran Khan is also exempted from biometrics due to old age.

Imran Khan’s lawyer asked for 3 weeks time to appear in person and also submitted his x-rays.

During the hearing, the banking court judge lifted the ban on media coverage in the Imran Khan case.

Mian Ali Ashfaq, the lawyer of Imran Khan’s co-accused, argued that there was no criminal case on the prohibited funding. PTI received funds in bank accounts in different cities and separate FIRs were issued in different cities. A box is kept in the mosque and different people contribute, it is not the work of the mosque to go to all the funders and ask where the income came from.
