Quetta: At least four people were killed and 12 injured in a blast occured in car parking of a hotel located on Zarghoon road here late Wednesday night.
The IG Balochistan said that the blast took place in car parking of Serena Hotel which is located on Zarghoon road. He added that several vehicles caught fire after the blast in the parking lot of the hotel.
Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed said that Chinese ambassador was present in the hotel at the time of the explosion. However, the diplomat remained unhurt, he added.
Police had cordoned off the site of the blast and shifted the dead and the injured to Civil Hospital, where emergency had been declared.
The Interior Minister termed the blast as an attempt to sabotage peace.
