Asia Cup: India win first T20 by 45 runs

 MIRPUR: India on Wednesday won the first T20 match by 45 runs against Bangladesh at Shere Bangla National Stadium in the Asia Cup.    

Bangladesh won the toss and decided to field. Indian opener Sharma remained the top scorer of the team and scored unbeaten 83 runs on 55 balls. He hit seven 4s and three 6s in the inning.

While Pandya scored 31 runs, Yuvraj Singh15 and Kohli made 8 runs in the match. India scored 166 runs on six wickets.

On the other hand, Bangladesh pacer Al-Amin Hossain took three wickets.  Mashrafe Mortaza, Mahmudullah and Shakib Al Hasan took one wicket each.

Bangladesh’s Sabbir Rahman was the top scorer of his team and he made 44 runs on 32 balls. While skipper Mashrafe Mortaza went to pavilion on zero. Bangladeshi team could score 121 runs on seven wickets.

India’ Nehra took three wickets in four overs . While Bumrah, Pandya and Ashwin took one wicket each.
