RAWALPINDI: US Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan (SRAP) Ambassador Daniel Feldman here on Tuesday called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) general Raheel Sharif and discussed with him regional security situation.
According to a statement by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Ambassador Feldman called on Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif at the GHQ.
The US Special Representative appreciated Pakistani security forces’ sacrifices and efforts for peace and stability in the region.
Issues of mutual interest and regional security situation came under discussion during the meeting.
Earlier on May 7, army chief discussed Pak-Afghan border coordination and the overall security situation in the region with Commander Resolute Support United States Forces in Afghanistan General John F Campbell.
Matters pertaining to regional stability and various affairs were also discussed upon, it is learnt.
The American special representative also appreciated Pakistan’s sacrifices in war against terrorism.
