Washington: Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have also started buying cheap petrol from Russia, disregarding international sanctions.

According to American media, countries that did not buy gasoline from Russia before the Ukraine war are buying petroleum products from Russia after President Putin announced the supply of gasoline at discounted rates.

The report revealed that Saudi Arabia is buying a record 100,000 barrels per day from Russia and the United Arab Emirates is buying a record 60 million barrels.

The report analyzed that the unexpected purchase of gasoline by the Gulf countries from Russia, ignoring the sanctions imposed by the US and Western countries, means that the influence of the US in the Middle East is waning.

According to the report, the US believes that the purchase of oil and fuel by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates from Russia is tantamount to undermining the policies of the Western alliance designed to force Russia to withdraw from the war in Ukraine.
