Anti-LG Bill Jamaat-e-Islami's sit-in continues on second day outside Sindh Assembly

KARACHI: The Jamaat-e-Islami’s sit-in against the recently passed Sindh Local Government (Amendment) Bill, 2021 continued second day outside the Sindh Assembly here on Saturday.

A large number of Jamaat-e-Islami workers, and people from various walks of life from all over the city were attending the protest.

Speaking to the media, on the occasion, Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the LG bill approved by the Sindh Assembly is not acceptable.

He said that the PPP wanted to establish dictatorship. The sit-in will continue till the withdrawal of of LG bill. We will get citizens their rights, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said.

While addressing to the Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed, he JI leader said that Hyatt Regency located on Shahrah-e-Dastoor is a black stain on the justice system. One of the justice of your bench had ordered to regularise Hyatt Regency while you directed to demolish Nasla Tower.
